The History and Legacy of New Dawn Ministries, International

New Dawn Ministries, International was birthed through divine inspiration and the unmistakable call of God. In May 2007, Pastor Danny Jones answered that call and stepped out in faith to pursue the vision God had placed in his heart. A meeting of approximately twenty people was held in the home of Shawn and Stacey Murray. On that evening, something extraordinary began—the ministry that would become New Dawn Ministries, International was born.

At the time, there was no official name for the ministry. Pastor Jones, alongside his wife, Minister Hattie Jones, embraced the responsibility of leading this growing group of faithful believers who were hungry and expectant for all that God had in store.

On Sunday, May 20, 2007, the first worship service was held at the Holiday Hotel on Riverside Drive. It was a historic and exciting moment for the newly formed congregation. After prayer, thoughtful consideration, and input from the members, the name New Dawn Ministries, International was chosen. Interestingly, the name submitted by Pastor Jones was ultimately the one selected. It was a fitting name because, in every sense of the word, God was ushering His people into a new day and a new dawn.

For the next year, worship services continued at the Holiday Hotel. When the facility eventually closed, the congregation was faced with the need to find another place to worship. Yet, as He has done so many times throughout our history, God opened a door. The congregation moved to the Anderson Conference Center, where New Dawn Ministries worshiped and continued to grow for the next three years.

Through every season, God has continued to bless New Dawn Ministries, International in remarkable ways. Even when the congregation was small, God provided the vision, resources, and favor necessary for the ministry to acquire and ultimately pay off eighteen acres of land—the very ground upon which we stand today.

After several unsuccessful attempts to secure financing for a church building, God turned what appeared to be closed doors into a miraculous opportunity. In His perfect timing, He made a way for the current edifice to be constructed in a remarkably short period of time.

On May 15, 2011, the members of New Dawn Ministries, International walked into God's new sanctuary at 5350 Houston Road in Macon, Georgia. What had once been a vision had become a tangible testimony of God's faithfulness. We had witnessed firsthand that when God gives the vision, He will also make provision for it.

Over the years, the ministry has continued to grow and flourish by leaps and bounds. God's Word continues to go forth with power, transforming lives and equipping His people in ways that words cannot fully express. We have been blessed with the leadership, wisdom, and spiritual guidance of our pastor, Pastor Danny Jones, and the extraordinary grace and support of our First Lady, Minister Hattie Jones.

Our congregation is also blessed with dedicated elders, ministers, teachers, leaders, and faithful members who continue to serve God and His people with excellence. The Lord continues to add to this body, sending men, women, young people, and families whose hearts are hungry and thirsty for more of Him.

Through our various ministries and outreach efforts, New Dawn Ministries, International continues to impact lives both locally and around the world. Among these ministries are Soul Harvest Outreach Ministry, In Him We Move Dance Ministry, the Usher Ministry, Intercessors, Sons of Thunder Men's Ministry, Heart to Heart Women's Ministry, A.R.I.S.E. Youth Ministry, and many others.

Each ministry, each leader, and each member has played a significant role in helping shape New Dawn into what it is today. Every testimony, every prayer, every sacrifice, every act of service, and every soul touched is part of the story God is writing through this ministry.

Without question, God's hand is upon this place.

And perhaps the most exciting part of our story is this: this is only the beginning.

In a tremendous demonstration of God's faithfulness, we celebrated the burning of the mortgage on our current edifice. That milestone represented far more than the elimination of a financial obligation—it represented the closing of one chapter and the opening of another. With the mortgage paid, New Dawn Ministries is positioned to pursue new and greater endeavors in the Kingdom of God.

Plans have been established to build a new edifice that will provide greater capacity for greater works. We look forward with anticipation to all that God will accomplish through this ministry in the years ahead.

Today, we celebrate the mighty and miraculous power of Almighty God. We celebrate every victory, every trial overcome, every prayer answered, every life transformed, and every soul won for the Kingdom.

We celebrate another year of jubilee.

From a small gathering of approximately twenty people in a living room to a thriving ministry standing on eighteen acres of God-given land, the story of New Dawn Ministries, International is a testimony of faith, perseverance, obedience, and divine provision.

God has been faithful. God is faithful. And God will continue to be faithful.

This is our history.
This is our testimony.
This is our legacy.

And by the grace of God, the best is yet to come.
